Content Creation Trips Tenerife

The Tenerife Tourism Board is working hard on the positioning and image of the popular Canary Island. Like many destinations, questions are being asked about the added value of tourism inĀ the future. Discussions such as spreading tourists accross the destinationĀ are becoming increasingly important. There is actually so much to discover and experience on Tenerife, but too many people stay in a small part of the island because of the favorable microclimate. While in the North you come into contact with subtropical forests, old colonial towns, wine estates, gigantic cliffs and of course the Teide volcano, Spain's highest mountain.

Showcasing the 'other' Tenerife

There is much more to Tenerife than sunny Costa Adeje. So it's time to introduce travelers from the Benelux to the range of active holidays in nature, premium experiences and top gastronomy, culture, Unesco World Heritage and traces of the colonial past. Because you can't just sit by your pool here! And what could be better than letting people experience this first hand and using them as ambassadors? We set up all kinds of content trips with Experience-based communication, that became the approach for the entire media campaign.


Convincing content


In 2023 we laid the foundation for a lot of authentic and powerful content that not only convincingly fleshed out last year's campaigns, but will also give the 2024 campaigns that little extra punch. Video material, reels, social content, detailed texts, dedicated magazines and mini-websites,... ready to take the image of Tenerife to another level and surprise many holidaymakers with the offer of the destination!

Content creation trips

Creating content for our media campaigns, that became the approach to our first content creation trip. Editors from various media groups were sent to the island to experience the real Tenerife. Active tourism, the premium offer, gastronomy, it was all included in the trip. We brought them there so that they could experience for themselves how they could best convince their readers. The result? This is where true fans of the destination emerged.

Hiking as main focus

Put on your hiking shoes, because the Canary Island is a real walking paradise. Not only Spain's highest mountain, the Teide, invites you to hike here. The green North and the laurel forests of Anaga or the black volcano and El Chinyero are all beautiful areas for fans of nature. We invited the walking federations from Flanders and the Netherlands to hike accross the island. It was the foundation for a broad collaboration with a special walking brochure distributed as an insert with their magazine, online native content and dedicated mailings and a distribution of the brochure at the Hiking and Biking Fair in Ghent.

Influencers becoming ambassadors

Later in the year we organized a second content creation trip where we invited some strong influencer profiles to create content for us. They went kayaking, mountain biking, whale watching, visited the colonial towns and so much more. Immediately the basis for hundreds of photos, reels and strong video stories that will soon form the basis for our (online) campaigns in 2024.
